Joint Nation is an organization dedicated to the legalization of cannabis, both recreationally and medicinally, in the UK. We unite stoners to promote awareness and change. Together, we can make a difference!
It is estimated that there are over 1.4 million users of Cannabis in the UK, yet it is still a crime to possess, grow or distribute. The illegal Cannabis market is estimated to make £2.6 billion every year, could this money not go to helping our country out of the difficult times we now face. Legalising weed would open up new job opportunities for so many people who desperately need work right now and would turn young men who are being called 'drug dealers' into legitimate businessmen and allow our police force to focus on more serious crimes and have the resources to effectively do their jobs.
With just over 7% of the 1.4 million stoners in the UK, our voices could be heard and our petition taken to parliament.
About Joint Nation
Our goal at Joint Nation is to finally raise awareness about the legalisation of Cannabis in the UK. Many countries in recent years such as Canada, Germany and Uruguay have completely legalised Cannabis both recreationally and medicinally and have seen economic benefits. Could the UK not benefit from legalisation as well and be a beacon of a progressive future for the world? How to get involved.
If we are to truly Join the Nation in the legalisation of Cannabis, it will take as many of us as possible and there's several ways you can get involved.
Sign the Petition
Our best chance of success is to reach 100.000 signatures on our petition so that it has a very likely chance of being debated in parliament.
Break the Stigma
You may enjoy Cannabis but many of your friends and family might have negative connotations of Cannabis as this has been the general idea pushed by society. Have a calm, educated discussion with them highlighting the postive effects of Cannabis use.
Peacefully Protest
Here at Joint Nation, we will be organising peaceful protests to raise awareness of our cause. You can do this too, you don't need us! Just make your local police aware 6 days before and always protest peacefully! Joint Nation does not advocate any violence in any form and any incident will not be supported by our organisation.
Other forms
Joint Nation is only beginning and we hope that as our message spreads, the organisation grows as well. In this way, we will be working on new projects in the future and your support is always most welcome.
